Trailer Maintenance Tips
Share
The first week of June is #TrailerSafetyWeek. Wayne from Water Werks in Country Club Hills, IL shares three of his most important trailer maintenance tips that he learned from his 50+ years in the boat business.
Track Your Boat Trailer Mileage Trailer wheel bearings should be repacked every 3 years or 3,000 miles-- whichever comes first.
Check for Grease on Your Wheels If you notice grease splattered on the inside of your trailer wheels-- you have bad seals. Water will enter the wheel hubs and destroy the bearings. Don't get stranded on the side of the road! Inspect your wheels before your trip.
Practice Backing Up Safely Need more practice backing up your boat trailer? Visit your local church or shopping mall parking lot while they are closed. These are great places to go for stress- free practice.
